What the outfit check looks at
Trendo reviews the outfit across four connected areas rather than reducing the whole look to one unexplained number. You see each area separately, together with the reasoning behind the result.
The four areas
Style and aesthetic
Whether the pieces read as one intentional outfit and what visual direction they create together. This includes the overall silhouette and how the garments relate to one another.
Color and pattern
How the colors and patterns interact, including harmony, contrast, and whether one visual element supports or competes with the rest of the look.
Visible fit and proportion
How the clothes sit in the photograph, including garment lengths, layering, shoulder placement and the relationship between different shapes. This is an assessment of the visible clothing, not a judgment of the wearer’s body.
Weather and occasion
Whether the outfit appears appropriate for the occasion you selected and practical for the available weather information. You provide the occasion; where permission and data are available, Trendo checks the relevant forecast.

Will Trendo always agree with my choice?
No. Useful guidance should be able to identify a mismatch in color, proportion, formality or context.
When Trendo sees something that could be improved, it explains the reason, keeps the feedback focused on the clothes and suggests a practical next step. If you prefer the outfit exactly as it is, your preference wins. Trendo is a second opinion, not a permission slip.
Where an image-based check has limits
What a photograph cannot show.
- Fabric and comfort. A photograph cannot show whether a garment feels scratchy, heavy, tight, soft or comfortable.
- Unseen context. Trendo cannot know an unwritten dress code, what other people plan to wear, or that you will be standing outdoors for hours, unless you tell it.
- Image quality. Poor lighting, unusual angles or partly hidden garments affect what the system can interpret.
- Brand and quality. Trendo does not determine garment quality or brand value from appearance alone.
- Personal preference. The result is a structured interpretation, not an objective law of fashion.
How is this different from asking a friend?
A friend brings personal taste, knowledge of you and human context. Trendo offers something different: the same structured areas each time, available whenever you need them, with an explanation of what influenced the result.
It does not replace human judgment. It helps you understand the outfit and decide faster.
