What virtual try-on means in Trendo
“Virtual try-on” can describe several different technologies. In Trendo, it means generating a new full-length visual based on your appearance and using it to preview outfits created from your digital wardrobe.
It helps you compare overall silhouette, color combinations, layering and visual balance. It is a generated visualization, not an exact fit simulation.
How it actually works
Provide one suitable photo
Upload the type of full-length image requested in the app. Clear lighting, full-body visibility and a simple pose help create a more useful result. You do not need to repeat this for every outfit.
Trendo creates your personal visual
Trendo generates a clean, full-length image based on the photo you supplied.
Preview combinations from your wardrobe
Selected garments are rendered onto the generated image, so you can compare different looks without changing clothes each time.
Is it a filter over my photograph?
No. Trendo produces a separate generated image for the preview instead of pasting clothes directly over the original photograph.
It is also different from showing the outfit on a generic stock model. The purpose is to provide a visual connected to your appearance rather than to someone else’s.
Because the image is generated, some details may differ from reality. Use it to compare the overall combination, not as proof of exact fit.
What should I expect from the result?
Where a generated preview helps, and where it cannot.
- A useful visual preview. The generated image helps compare broad shape, color, layering and outfit balance.
- Not an exact fitting. It cannot confirm whether a waistband, shoulder, hem or sleeve physically fits correctly.
- Not fabric simulation. A still image cannot reproduce the exact texture, weight, stretch, drape or movement of a garment.
- Not a measurement tool. Trendo does not use virtual try-on as a substitute for body measurements or clothing sizes.
- Some details may differ. Stitching, folds, hardware, patterns and small design elements may not be reproduced exactly. Focus on the complete outfit rather than fine construction.
What happens to the photo?
The photo is processed to create the requested full-length visual. It is not displayed publicly to other Trendo users.
